  • 11749585 We purchased a certified pre-owned 2024 Kia EV6 GT on 6/5/2026. On 6/6/2026 while driving on city streets, the display screen suddenly displayed a large and flashing red warning message "Stop vehicle and check power supply" in addition to the battery symbol
  • 11751635 Car was totally dead even with a 68% charge. AAA came out to jump start. The next day while driving on the highway the car started to lose power. A red warning to check the electrical system came on along with "turtle mode"
  • 11734168 2024 Kia EV6 leased January 2025. Vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 24V-867 / Kia campaign SC327 for the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU). The recall remedy was performed at an authorized Kia dealer in July 2025 (software / operational logic update)

  • 11703834 I was driving on the freeway steady at 72mph and the car suddenly accelerated on its own. It hit 90 within seconds and I had to step on the break for the car to slow down
  • 11685781 Brakes failed with unintened acceleration. We were stopped behind a truck at a stoplight when the the vehicle accelerated with a foot on the brake. We had it towed from the scene of the accident to our local dealership for testing. They had the vehicle for 4 weeks
  • 11614326 When washing my car at an automated car wash my brakes failed when exiting the facility. When the wash was completed it gave me the approval to leave. I tapped on the gas pedal to get the car moving slowly

  • 11732922 I was backing out of my driveway and backed into a vehicle parked directly behind me. The collision avoidance and emergency braking system should have stopped my car before impact but it did not. No sounds other than the normal backing up beeping. Proximity alert did not ping
  • 11716470 Incident took place 1/31/26. I was pulling into my driveway at approximately 5 mph. Normally, as I approach the wooden driveway gate, sensors would begin to beep and I would be prompted to stop.The car normally would stop itself if a collision was imminent
  • 11580158 There are alot of electrical malfunctions including unnecessary and without warning emergency breaking that has injured me

In addition, dealers will update the ICCU software. All repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 29, 2024. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC302.

Vehicles previously repaired under recall 24V-200 will need to have the new remedy completed.
26V43100002/07/2026ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERYKia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2022-2024 EV6 and 2024 EV9 vehicles. The high voltage battery cells may contain misaligned electrodes, which can lead to a fire while parked or driving.A fire increases the risk of injury.Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and limit their charge to a maximum of 80% until the recall repair is complete. Dealers will replace the high voltage battery system assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 7, 2026. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia's number for this recall is SC375. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning July 17, 2026.
