  • 11725469 The Panoramic Sunroof spontaneous combusted traveling 75 mph on the interstate. No debris, other vehicles, or overpasses in sight. The explosion and raining glass poses a safety concern.
  • 11604555 I was driving down the road. There were no other vehicles around me. I then heard, what sounded like someone shooting a gun from the middle row up through the sunroof. It was the most insanely loud noise, i had ever heard coming from a vehicle. I pulled over and realized that the sunroof had exploded.
  • 11640925 Just bought this 2023 Ford Expedition it was used, within 1 hour of owning it, the Sunroof just shattered and pieces of glass came falling down in-between my kids. Didn't seem like anything hit the sunroof, it just shattered on it's own!

  • 11748150 While driving the ABS system failure warning along with 2 other system warnings come on and brakes fall to the floor. My Ford expedition is experiencing the same catastrophic electronic brake booster failure as recall 25S77. The dealer updated the software and the problem continued.
  • 11684774 While driving at varying speeds the service brake warning light would come on and the vehicle would shudder while decelerating before coming to a full stop as the brakes were engaged resulting in a longer distance required for breaking.
  • 11711084 The vehicle experiences intermittent brake slippage that occurs randomly approximately 2–3 times per month. The issue happens while decelerating between 10–20 mph. When applying the brakes to slow down, the brake pedal suddenly travels further downward, as if the brakes slip or momentarily lose pressure.

  • 11571218 as I was turning right, pulling into the parking space near the entrance, the truck accelerated unexpectedly and collided with a cement parking pilon (sp?). I am unsure how this occurred. I believe the vehicle may have accelerated on its own.
  • 11552691 The contact stated that while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle inadvertently accelerated. As a result, the vehicle proceeded over the side curves then stalled. All the air bags deployed.

  • 11751175 Driving on highway, tried to accelerate, the car was acting like it was in neutral and would not accelerate. Checked to ensure I was not. the car began decelerating and I started to pull over. As I entered the brake down lane - the car automatically switched to park jarring the car to a stop.
  • 11615968 The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact noticed a hard shift from the transmission. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated.
  • 11534405 While driving the vehicle in sport mode and trying to accelerate the pedal will go to the floor and the vehicle will stop moving for a couple of seconds. Usually happens around 20mph and is seemingly random. No warning lights but the vehicle will not move any faster.

  • 11721003 The instrument panel went black while driving. Unable to see MPH, Gas, Gauges, or safety alerts, warning lamps, etc. The dealership confirmed there is no recall. This is a safety issue and should not be at the expense of the consumer.
  • 11572499 While spouse was traveling using the 15.5 screen with navigation system engaged, the entire screen went black. The touch screen controls many items including the A/C system, navigation, hands free phone and other safety items.
  • 11589372 The infotainment 15 inch touchscreen is not dependable 3 out of 7 days, roughly. When turning it on, it doesn't go on and you have to try to back up this monster without a camera.

If there is a broken front axle pinion, the entire axle assembly will be replaced. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 21, 2023. The owner's manual does not include instructions for adjusting or removing certain head restraints. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 202, "Head Restraints."Without instructions, the head restraints may be improperly adjusted, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.Ford will mail the Owner's Manual addendums that describe how to adjust and remove the head restraints for the center seating positions, free of charge. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.A frozen or missing rearview camera image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.The accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge. This will be a phased campaign, with the remedy becoming available in different phases based on model and model years. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed on June 26, 2025. Additional letters will be mailed once the final remedy is available on each phase. When towing a trailer, the integrated trailer module (ITRM) may lose communication with the vehicle, possibly causing a loss of brake and turn signal lights, or a loss of brake function. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."Trailer lights or brakes that do not function can reduce the driver’s ability to control the trailer and decrease the trailers visibility to other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.The integrated trailer module software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge.
