  • 11532550 While towing my fifth wheel trailer, the electric trailer brakes module shuts off with a message "check trailer wiring". When the module shuts off, the trailer brakes do not actuate relying fully on the truck to stop as the trailer brakes will not work.
  • 11529117 The integrated trailer brake controller connects and disconnects the trailer brakes as often as several times per minute. I have confirmed there is no issue with the trailer. The issue appears to be in the truck. This led to a near-miss accident.
  • 11622718 I was towing a dump trailer with gravel in it down a gravel road grade (downhill around 5-7mph) and received a warning on the DTC about the trailer brake being disconnected. All of the lights on the trailer were still working, however the trailer brakes no longer functioned…

  • 11752781 Due to the Fuel Pump Power Control Module (Part number 13554821) failure, my vehicle stalled in the middle of a turn while pulling a 10,000 pound RV. This caused me to lose both power steering and braking capabilities.
  • 11666785 With 19,000 miles on my Silverado 2500 HD I was traveling down a hill towards a stop sign at a T intersection. About 100 yeads from the stop sign I had many flashing errors on the dash, very little brake and very little steering. The engine just shot off.
  • 11682545 The fuel pump inside the tank shorted out and left us stranded. This is the same pump that was used on the the 2022 Duramax systems however they upped the fuel pressure on the 2024 refresh and it has become a known problem of shorting out.

  • 11538407 The vehicle has, on numerous occasions, gone into a "Check Right Front Turn Lamp" or "Check Left Front Turn Lamp" while operating the turn signals. Vehicle then goes into "hyperflash" on the turn signal indicating a fault when the error message appears and renders the signal non-functional.
  • 11666746 I was making a right turn and my signal started flashing faster than normal and stated service passenger front turn lamp. There is no way of service without replacing the entire headlight which is $2000.00 for one side.
  • 11740943 The contact stated while at a stop sign all lights on the outside of the vehicle began to turn on and off independently. No warning light illuminated. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the headlight control module needed to be updated.

  • 11712339 I was leaving my farm property after loading my truck and tailgate and drove home 20 miles. At some point in the drive my tailgate dropped and fell onto the trailer tongue. This caused damage to my tailgate.
  • 11604957 After a rain storm the tailgate started malfunctioning. Now it does it all the time even on pure sunny days. It will go up and down randomly without anyone touching a button. It does it so much it drained both batteries, which left the truck inoperable.
  • 11702483 The contact stated that after parking and turning off the vehicle, the tailgate inadvertently unlatched and opened. The contact stated that the failure was caused by a short-circuit in the tailgate electronic gate switch due to water entering the unit.

  • 11753685 The contact stated that while driving approximately 54 MPH, the steering wheel jerked to the left and sent the vehicle over onto the opposite side of the road, where the vehicle struck a steel electric pole.
  • 11633552 steering wheel has excessive play. i have had it looked at by two different dealerships and they are trying to convince me that this is normal. there is about 1 inch of dead band in the straight-ahead position. the dead band movement of the steering wheel shaft does not move the pitman arm at all.
  • 11656302 The contact stated while driving and exceeding 55 MPH, the vehicle was pointing to the left. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and confirmed that the vehicle was not driving straight. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred.

26V53000013/08/2026TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMSGeneral Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and GMC Sierra 2500 vehicles equipped with the enhanced towing option and 20-inch accessory tire/wheel package. The tire information label may state the incorrect rear tire pressure, resulting in underinflated tires and preventing the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from displaying a low tire pressure warning.Driving with underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash.Dealers will inspect, update the engine control module (ECM) software, apply a tire label overlay, inflate tires to the correct pressure, and perform a tire pressure monitor system (TPMS) re-learn process as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 28, 2026. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782.
